Research Interests:
My research has focused primarily

on analyzing female figure type silhouettes for the improvement of consumer fit and its possible application to the domestic apparel industry.  Recently, I have expanded my expertise in fit to application towards prototype development utilizing the functional design process. The goal is to develop a garment that provides soft structural support to the upper back for the improvement of posture.  Interestingly, it has become apparent that posture is a factor that affects garment fit.

My overall research interests include: apparel design, body shape analysis, consumer preferences, consumer satisfaction, product development, functional design, comfort, fit, couture techniques, manufacturer, mass customization, prototype evaluation, and sizing.
