Research Interests:
Professor Negulescu has teaching and research interests in the fields of chemistry and characterization of textiles and polymers, medical polymers, liquid crystals, bioderived nonwoven textiles, polymeric liquid crystals and composite asphalt and polymer systems.

Professional and Notable Activities:
Dr. Negulescu has been invited to be the federal manager of the USDA panel to review the 2006 small business industrial research (SBIR) proposals. He is also one of the past chair of the USDA CREES Multistate 20001-06 S-1002 project. Dr. Negulescu is member in the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biomaterials Applications, a Sage publication.

 

Honors and Awards:
Dr. Negulescu is recipient of research awards from the LSU School of Human Ecology and Sigma Gamma Delta.
