Research Interests:
Mrs. Rabalais is Curator of the LSU Textile & Costume Museum and an instructor in the School of Human Ecology. The focus of her current research is the Acadian Handicraft Project (a mid-twentieth century program promoting craftsmen of Acadian descent), early Louisiana textile tools, and the production and mardeting of handsewn infants' and children's garments in Louisiana.

"Twentieth Century Cinderellas: Women and Their Aprons," an exhibition catalog publication (2002).
"Giving The Cajuns A Lift: The Acadian Handicraft Project, 1942-1962," an exhibition catalog publication (1999).
"The Fabric of Our Lives," with Jenna T. Kuttruff and Evva Wilson, a textile conservation publication (1998).

Mrs. Rabalais serves on the governing board of the Costume Society, Southeastern Region.

Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities LSU Textile & Costume Museum exhibitions' funding in 1998, 1999, and 2005, $2500 each.
