Elizabeth Bienvenu McNulty (Liz) Elizabeth Bienvenu McNulty (Liz) is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Fashion Design and currently Miss Louisiana-USA 2007. She is an entrepreneur and free-lance fashion designer as well as the Fashion Editor for Town Favorites Magazine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Liz’s hometown is Lafayette, Louisiana and she currently resides in Baton Rouge. She has two brothers – John (T-Jack) who is a commanding officer and 1st Lieutenant with the U.S. Marine Corps currently serving in Fallujah in Iraq, and Joe who is a senior at LSU.
Liz is very involved with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana as well as the Campaign to Save Coastal Louisiana and is especially active in the re-vegetation of the Louisiana coastline. Other philanthropies in which Liz is involved include the Red Cross, the Louisiana Preservation Society, Artists Helping Children, Dress for Success, and the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Liz also enjoys working with and visiting the elderly and applies her talents in fashion design to charity work as well by assisting with fashion shows for various charitable beneficiaries.
Liz’s designs were chosen and shown at Dallas Fashion Week and she models for designers whose fashions she appreciates and promotes. She was featured in the New Orleans Magazine Bridal Edition. She applies her fashion design talents to pageantry as well. Her artwork has also been shown publicly and she was chosen as a Spotlight Artist for her creative designs. Liz was chosen and attended Parson’s School of Design’s Summer Intensive Study Program in New York in 2002.
Liz’s previous pageant experience includes Top 15 and Evening Gown Winner - Miss Louisiana USA 2005; Miss Louisiana Gulf Coast USA 2005 as well as the Evening Gown Winner, the Interview Winner, and the recipient of the Peoples’ Choice Award; 2nd Runner-up – Miss Louisiana USA 2006; and Miss Lafayette USA 2006 along with receiving the Swimsuit and Photogenic Awards.
In her free time, Liz enjoys using her creative talents in painting. She also enjoys baking, reading and ballroom dancing. |
